Philosophy
Core Collective is a small architectural practice in Victoria and Tasmania specialising in the design and delivery of creative architectural projects. Our work is grounded in a concern for the individual client and site to produce architecture that maximises space, light, comfort and connection to the landscape. Sustainability is integral to the practice, and the partners are both recognised nationally for their knowledge and leadership in this area.
Since the inception of the practice in 2002, Core Collective has been engaged as the architects for more than 20 projects including: a multi tenancy commercial redevelopment and additions to a heritage building; a conference centre and eco-retreat in Gippsland; redevelopment of an historic butter factory as an arts facility; and a number of residential projects, varying in scale from small inner suburban infill housing to multi-residential and mixed use developments.
The partners also draw on their experience from working in larger commercial practices on multi-residential, educational, office and recreational projects. As an associate at SBE, Ceridwen worked on numerous commercial projects developing best practice sustainable solutions to energy, water and waste efficiency. Ryan’s work with Woods Bagot and Sunpower Design included design, visualization, documentation and delivery of various commercial and residential projects.
Core Collective has experience working within tight physical and financial constraints and collaborates closely with clients, professional consultants, planning authorities and builders to ensure the successful delivery of projects. As a small practice Core Collective offers a personal service and the partners are able to maintain control over all aspects of the project.
